Decorative Fair April 2010 – Garden murals

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

battersea_foyer_picExhibiting at the Battersea Decorative fair for his 5th time Peter has been invited to decorate the walls for Robert Barley’s “Garden” themed Foyer.

In 2007 a large painting commission for a 67 meter private Yacht took Peter to Pompeii and Crete to collect imagery. Since then  Peter’s fascination with early Roman art has been difficult to shake off, Roman style themes have continued to resurface in his work.

For the Battersea Decorative fair foyer Peter has produced a number of  Pompeii themed murals. The artworks include approximately 10 life size figures of antique statuary composed on individual 3 meter high by 1.5 meter wide canvas panels. The medium used is a combination of inkjet printing and paint on canvas. Pigment based inks are used for maximum resistance to UV light. All printing is done by the artist.Canvas panels can be purchased at the fair individually with prices ranging from £600 – £1,500

The fair is open between the 20th – 25th April 2010 more info at decorativefair.com

Painting project update

Tuesday, May 20th, 2008

The Yacht project kept me busy for several months, I went to Holland in May to deliver the pictures to the yacht, quite something! stayed a couple of days, had the run of my own mega yacht (briefly, it was still being fitted out)

The pictures seemed to be a success as they asked me to paint 8 more…

I have to get on with those now, will try and post some pictures soon…

Print/Painting commission

Friday, April 11th, 2008

My latest painting project is for a 67 meter private Yacht being built in Holland as I write.

I am commissioned to deliver 14 pictures in 6 weeks… given the timescale I will be producing mixed media pieces – a mixture of pigmented transfer prints on wood combined with acrylic and oil paint. Its a great moment for me to be painting, I was feeling rather jaded with the various web projects that have taken most of my time lately…

The client remains a mystery but I’d like to keep it that way for now

an update…. finally

Monday, May 28th, 2007

well, more of a tidy up and repaint really, I hope to get more work on the site soon. Meantime, why don’t you check out my latest web design project: http://www.victoriahart.com
